Hi all,
Had our 05 TDV6 HSE for a week now and loving every minute of it! The only thing it hasn't got is the PTI bluetooth phone kit. I've searched on this site and it appears that you can buy and retro fit the kit, however, dealer says it is only factory fitted option and is suggesting they supply and install a Parrot handsfree. I'm sure I read somewhere that the parrot system wasn't compatible with the Logic 7 part of the stereo (what is that exactly?), so would need a separate speaker, which I guess may not offer total integration?
Really just after some 'definitive' advice - would really like the phone to be as integrated as possible and mute the stereo and sat nav while I'm on a call.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jambo
the standard PTI (Factory fit) will also allow you to plug a compatible(Normally Nokia 6230) into a cradle stored under the centre arm rest lid..this allows it to use the cars integral aerial and charge the phone..
An accessory kit WILL NOT allow you to do this...all it will give you is a very expensive way of connecting your vehicle via bluetooh...
i beleive most members here would agree that the parrot system is a very good and cheaper alternative as the Land Rover car kit is retail over £400
If you see one on ebay ask and make sure it's the latest kit...VUB501152...earlier kits had issues with the ECU's which needed upgrading...
Nick TLO has left the building.......

Brilliant Nick - thanks for your detailed reply, that's just what I needed to know. Looks like I'll be going for the Parrot handsfree kit!
Next question is...... which is the best model to go for? I'm using an iPhone, so music streaming would be good, but I gather I'll need a plug in module to stream the music from my iPhone to the stereo.
Again, any advice would be much appreciated.
