Body moulding clips
Hi there
got a black 56 plate HSE Disco 3.
Since we bought the car the side mouldings have been slightly loose and we are constantly kicking them back in or giving it a firm whack!!
However they just don't seem to be staying in and the other day the passenger side fell off altogether. I could re attach but don't want to in case it comes off in motion and costs me a fortune to replace the whole thing.
I do not require the yellow clips that are on the door as they are still in place. It seems that on the door on the end there are missing the retainers for the black round crossed bit on the moulding. I've tried to upload the photos so hope they worK!!

I have contacted a few LR dealers and one has said that I can not buy the clips that I want but would need to purchase the whole moulding part (VPLAP0013). That seems ludicrous to me as it is only needs some clips for a few quid not a £200 bill for new mouldings.
I'm stuck so any suggestions would be great as to how to get around this the most cost effectively.
Cheers

Just for info, when these clips have been separated (white/yellow) they don't fit back together for very long & you need new clips.
remove all the old yellow clips from the door, fit the new clips to the trim & place up to door, then using your palm tap the trim onto the door.
regards
Steve

Any idea how you get the yellow clips out of the door, please? Pliers have pulled the "head" off only?

Plastic trim removal tool,
Well that's what I used on the arches which use the same clips. You may need a few more as some tend to snap

Door Mouldings....
Hi, I have been having the same problem as posted above but unfortunately have reached the next stage, whereas the whole bloody moulding fell off at some point!
Any recommendation on where I could get a replacement? The car is looking for very scruffy without it!
Many thanks in advance, Miles.

Mine sometimes do come loose in warm weather , I decided to purchase new clips
I got mine from Ebay £3.50 for 30 clips , bargain and no different from the OE clips on the D3
