Brake servo oil problems - 2006 D3

Hey folks,

Had a braking issue a few days ago where the brakes were fine whilst slowing but after releasing the pedal and then pressing again, it was like trying to brake my 109 and had to stand on the pedal to stop. Not done it since though.

Did a bit of reading on the forum and it looks like mine has the pipework from the recall but I popped open the pipe and there was a trace of oil in there.

Having read a few posts, I am still not sure of what the fix is.

If the pipework indicates a recall has been done, is it new servo, new vacuum pump or both?

Cheers

Great!
Doesn’t sound cheap. I will add it to the list along with new front diff, 4 new injectors, new suspension valve block and new ride height sensors Sad

You may need a new master cylinder , it was included in the original recall if found to be oil contaminated .

Even better Sad

How bad is the design that it results in a new vacuum pump, servo and a master cylinder.
