Black works well with the silver paint. Goes with all the black bumpers and fittings etc.2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

nop - stainless for me, especially if you go for some of the stainless trim latter on.

Tubes
When I was negotiating the deal on my used Zambezi Silver TDV6 SE, I emailed the stealer and told him he had a deal if he supplied and fitted a set of stainless tubes. I was expecting the dealer to say they couldn't do it or that they would fit the black ones. However, the dealer agreed to fit the stainless ones and I'm well pleased with them. Here's a photo prior to the ABar, LR Lamps, and lamp guards being fitted

Baz I have the black bars fitted to my Zermatt Silver D3. The difference as far as I can see is that the black blends in with the trim whereas the SS is more visible. I chose mine by going to the following site and looking at the extras I wanted from the dealer.

Also if they get scratched or dented I can touch them up with black paint. So far they have performed well and no visible signs of wear.Take the road less traveled. Ronnie... nope.
They are essentially just for show but will help stop car park dings and granny get into her throne.
The brackets are there just to hold the tubes and are in no way strong enough to support the D3 on rocks etc. Tubes them selves will buckle too if hit fairly hard.
Sliders are what you need of you want under sill protection.
