Compressor Failed - Replaced

After 80,000 Km my air suspension compressor failed.

After returning from Lesotho back in Aug. this year I noticed intermitted the orange suspension failure occurring. After spending some time off-road again the past weekend it no longer allowed TR (special programs). From Saturday to Tuesday (when I dropped off at dealer) the suspension lowered itself to access height and would not recover.

Dealer inspected suspecting sensor but in the end the compressor was replaced as it completely ceased-up.

IronWoman does use the D3 every day on gravel road. Question that begs the answer here is that if used on this type of condition regularly do the compressor have a shortened life span???

There are known issues with 2005 models and compressors , saw a TSB somewhere. So hopefully you should be OK now
