Conkers

Driving along today, when a large conker fell off a tree, and bounced off my bonnet. It left a nice conker sized indentation Sad

Can these small dints be fixed easily without repainting? Its not too deep and has not split the paint.

Sprint-finish and the like can easily get these dings out (as long as it isn't on a double skinned section).

About this time last year I was driving SWMBO's Saab convertible with the top down. (It was a lovely sunny autumn day, a Saturday as I recall). She was in the passenger seat.
As I was driving through Yarm a bird (feathered) crapped right down the front of my shirt and on my lap. SWMBO absolutely pi**ed herself laughing!
I was not amused!
A few miles further on and a conker fell out of a tree right in front of us, bounced up, and hit the windscreen! An inch or two higher and that would have f***ing hit me as well!

"It's bloody dangerous this car" I told her.

A few weeks later I bought my D3! 8)

At this time of year driving from Eksel to Hechtel you get pelted by dropping acorns, and boy do they hurt when I'm on the bike

quick question re:dentafix

gilmorr - was your experience with them a good one?

I've had some scumbag smash an empty wine bottle against the side of my D3 last week (just behind the rear wheel arch) its not only dented the body work - but also taken some paint off? They still able to sort that too?

any other contributions/views on them or similar companies welcome

cheers, tim

Try dentdevil.co.uk, (they only do dents that don't need paint.)
Ive got two very happy guys in my office that have used them.
Charge £75 a panel, up to three dents per panel.

I think I'll dent devil a go. I've got a small dint in the front edge of the bonnet also. As the bonnet is the biggest panel its not bad value.

CY - had one of those. About 7mm wide and same sort of length as the one in your pic. £75 from local body shop to sort. Flippin amazing job. Spent ages looking to fault their work - full valet too as I was late picking it up and they had time Mr. Green

Motto is, don't just go down the franchise dent/scratch dot com route, drive to see the experts too. (not saying there is anything wrong with them mind . . .)

If it's double skinned I don't reckon they can do it!

Got my big chip seen to by autoglass.
They did their bit, but I really need a new windscreen.
I'm put off though getting one.
Never feel it's the same as a factory fit!
Also, don't want to trust them dismantling the RAI.
