Cruise Control Fix

Anyone know how to fix the cruise control.
If i set mine on 100 kph in hilly country,
the speed fluctuates between 90kph and 110kph
and is constantly dropping back to 5th gear an accelerating madly
only to get to the top of the hill to lose speed down the other side (if that makes sense)

I only use cruse controle on highway/freewaw mainly to keep speed at the limit so as not to get a nasty ticket.
On hilly roads etc cruse controle seems to do what yours does a bit. To me this constant acceleration and backing off increases fuel consumption too much and is not the way I like to drive so dont use it.
Think thats the way it works its reactive and cant plan ahead Rolling Eyes

PS. The last straw would be the D3 computor being able to think Shocked complete desaster and mayhem Exclamation

Im going to do about 10 or 12000k in mine in
the next few months which will take it to 60k.
Just before the warranty runs out i will get them
to service it and do a front to back check
to make sure everything is OK.

The cruise control behaves much the same as other cars and Discos I have had. The only difference is that due to the D3 weight and low power the cruise throttle/gear responses are little more harsh. In hilly country no cruise operates well.

I find the sudden acceleration surge scary --
even tho it seems to be maintaining constant speed

My D2 was the same until Bruce Davis chipped it
then it only fluctuated 1 or 2 kph either side of its set speed
and would maintain 100k easily in the hills.
(every one had been telling me it was a vacuun problem)
