Finally got this done. About 6 hours work including the headscratching. Was thinking of doing a complete guide with pictures, but this fell through.
Anyways, hope this could be helpful for someone doing this conversion in the future.
Heat elements both sides:
This it the only connector with 4 pins (in the big connector between car and seat). 2 big wires, 2 small.
From the D3 seats you need the whole loom, cut it before it disappears into the seatfoam (1 for the cushion and 1 for the backrest)
On the D4 seat there are only 3 wires on this connector, goes into a Volvo "box", with 2 new connectors coming out off the box. Cut off the 2 connectors and remove box+ loom with 3 wires.
Transferring the D3 part over to the D4 seat, you will se the colors matching up. Join them. 2 black wires to the backrest, 1 grey and 2 yellow to the cushion. Put the new 4 pin connector into the main car/seat connector. Job done.
Really it doesn't matter about the colours. The 2 heatelements are connected in series (Big wires). And the 2 small wires go to a thermal sensor.
Electric passenger seat:
In the big car/seat connector above the screw holding it together there are a 2 pin connector. B+ and Gnd-. Switch the polarity on these. I switched the wires inside the 2 pin connector. Can otherwise be cut and rejoined the other way around. On some D3s this will be enough. If you now got a 2 way electric seat you are missing a black wire in one off the 2 pin connectors. (Inside the big car/seat connector) This need Gnd- and can be taken from the main Gnd-.
Now you will have 2 heated seats and a electric passenger seat.
Electric driver seat:
This is controlled by the big ECU underneath the seat. Communicating with the door panels memory buttons with canbus. Unless you talk canbus, do this.... remove the ECU, and cut all the wires on the white connector going into the ECU. All these wires leads to: all the electric motors + and -, also 2 of them leads to the B+ and Gnd- in the car/seat connector.
Now there is a downside, you will need a switch pack from a non memory seat (from a Opposite Hand Drive car)
In this switch pack you will need to feed B+ to both of the 2 upper pins, and Gnd- into both lower pins. The rest of the wires from the white ECU connector goes in between B+ and the Gnd- in the switch pack. Look at the passenger side switch pack and you will recognize most off the colours and positions. You will have to try out what way the wires goes to the electric motors, to get the right direction on the seat adjustment.
The electric backrest in/out up/down function is still to be figured out. I'll leave mine as it is for the moment.
