Hello
I just a had my local Bordeaux LR dealer and he gave a very bad news !
My D4 TDV6 3L hse that I should have received end of june is delayed untill ... 10th october !!!!
The factory cannot get enough engines from what I have told ...
I thought having it for the summer holidays travellings but ... NO javascript:emoticon(' ')
I just cancel the selling of my car and make new budget calculation ...
But my motivation is still there and we will wait.
Has anyone heard of such lenghtening of delay ???

In complement of my post, I precise that I ordered it 21st of april and took it on
a pre ordered D4 from my dealer from mid march. it was then a "classic" 3 months or little more delay ...
But IT WAS... Now we will go to a 7 months delay ... Such a big success is great for Land Rover but
difficult for the customers ...

Yes - there have been reports of that happening in mainland-Europe. And the same reason has been used.
You might want to double check with the Dealer to make sure it really is a component delay and not because the dealer has used up their quota. If the latter, then another dealer should be able to supply.
Good luck  The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

The D4 Commercial I ordered on the 27th February, now has a delivery date of the 27th June, unless it is put back. Starting to think about cancelling it and picking up a second hand Defender.

Ordered mine 18th March picked it up 7th June ~ 12 weeks. 2015 D4 HSE in Corris Grey
All below gone but still with happy memories

It depends maybe on the definition or options chosen ... But the reason given for my new delay is a problem to get engines...
And yourse is the "famous" TDV6 3l ! The one "missing" ...
I don't understand everything ...

Discovery now put back from 27th June to 15th July. 20 weeks. Getting like the bad old days in the early seventies, waited a year for a new car, same with tractors, a years wait plus price increase every 90 days.

Probably worth the wait, had to put tyres on mine last month, it now needs a service and the MOT is due as well in July. The D4 is not even built yet, seems they only build them when special vehicles are ready to convert them to commercials.
