Disco 4 rad into disco 3 tdv6 auto

Just wondering if a tdv6 or sdv6 disco 4 radiator will fit a disco 3. The radiator has split on my disco 3 and leaked coolant into the auto box and I’m considering fitting a seperate oil cooler. As far as I’m aware the disco 4 gearbox oil cooler is independent from the radiator meaning the radiator for the engine is just for it alone.

Anyone done this before or can offer some insight?

You can fit the D3 radiator but not use the oil cooler section - blank them off - and fit a separate oil transmission cooler in the grille area.
i have done it with other vehicles especially if used for towing or heavy use in hot climates.

I was thinking that but a d4 used rad is cheaper than even an aftermarket d3 rad and I unfortunately don’t have the cash to stump up the cash for a new Land Rover one. Don’t particularly want to buy a second hand d3 rad as it may already be split or about to split.
