Tested first. All passed, that’s tested for leak back, “swirl” ? Electronically tested and performance. They then cleaned them. He did say that if the electronic heads were faulty then they can do nothing as that part is not available but they all passed anyway. I’ll put them back in a different order and see if the values change. I am worried about the way car idles especially when cold. Chugs badly and throws out a ton of white smoke which clear under throttle and drives fine.
Does anyone know if there is a bleed procedure or are they “self bleeding” ?Jarrod

Good and bad news. Ish. Turbo turned up this morning. All exited I opened it up to find... a remanufactured unit. Yes it’s from euro parts but it’s definately not a new unit. It has come with a certificate and receipt so I guess I have no option but to fit it and get on with it. My outlay is going through the roof with the car and as much as I’m sticking with it I can’t keep throwing money at brand new parts like turbo’s etc.
Just never ending it seems.

Injectors. All 7 tested fine. However what I’ve realised is that they test them under a running condition which leads me to believe it’s not going to pick up the problem I have at idle as under load all 6 just revert to a setting of 1000 on the iid. What I’m going to do is fit them back in but I’m opposite order and see what the readings are. I’ll leave out her lowest number one in and fit the spare I’ve got. See what happens. At this point I’m thinking of whether a compression test can be done with the injectors out but don’t know what will happen with the open fuel lines. Can that be disabled by pulling a fuse ? Bit confused on the procedure. Any help massively appreciated. Looks like a busy weekend.
Also doing a bit of research... apparently there is a new map sensor that has a larger hole. Just need to find the part number. Also before I fit the turbo back in I’m thinking of disconnecting the air pipe after the mass air flow sensor and doing a pressure or smoke test to the pipework to see what it shows. Happy Friday gents. Jarrod

Hi buddy !!
How’s the back ?
Well progress report....
Got her back on the road yesterday, all seems good so far. Had my allisport intercooler repaired, went to wash it out and found a crack at the top where the tube meets the header. Decided to abandon it now. So I’ve ordered an rs500 one. My fabricator mate is going to take the pipes off the old one to fit the new one rather than mess with reducers etc.
Car wise so far she’s driving well. I only did a short trip to warm the car up and then changed the oil and filter, used a genuine filter and magnatec A5 oil.
I’ll do more of a write up about the injectors soon but so far I’ve swapped them all around but am still getting similar figures as before ? Maybe it’s down to fuel trim so see what happens in a few miles.
Hoping to get it in for a full hunter alignment today.
Will report back soon. Jarrod

Thanks Budd ! So happy right now. Wonder how long for ? Lol.
Booked for full hunter tracking and alignment etc tomorrow morning. Should be really interesting because it’s miles out right now. I’ve had all the arms etc off so should be straight forward for them to adjust.
Man does she need a clean. Lol. Jarrod

Well took the car in. They then told me that they couldn’t do it. Play in both upper hub bushes and forward upper arm bushes ok the hub ones I get. Should have changed them when I did the arms. The arms are rrs ones and have only done about 1000 miles ish. AF to the rescue though. Swapping them for me without issue. Looks like I’ll be rebuilding the back brakes complete with the bushes etc this week and back for hunter next week. Never mind.
Oh and gratuitous snow pics...
