I am going to dry the dessicate beads in this AMK compressor.
The beads are housed in the plastic part of the compressor with the model details and date on it.

This has gone from a question thread to a "How To" dry or change the dessicate beads in a AMK suspension compressor.
OK, so 2 bolts hold the black plastic part onto the metal housing. Carefully undo these and you will see a large spring with a metal plate and paper filter. They are loose items and held together by the force of the spring.
Beneath this are a few thousand dessicate beads. BE CAREFUL! Or the will spill out everywhere.
Transfer these beads into your wife's best dish and then microwave in bursts for around 10 minutes or until steam stops coming off them.
Whilst you are waiting for the beads to dry clean out the plastic housing.
Along with where it mates up with the metal part of the compressor.
Refil the plastic housing with the dried or new beads.
Then place the filter paper side down on the beads.
Then the spring on top of the metal part of the filter.
Reassemble tightening the 2 bolts equally.
Job done!
The whole procedure should take under an hour and is a fairly simple DIY job.

The beads seem different from Hitachi ones.. Like porcelain vs glass or so, or maybe the seem like so in pictures

I couldn't really say. They appeared to be fairly standard dessicate beads that you find in dehumidifying packets. That said I'm no expert.

The plastic housing is held on by 2 torx head bolts that are not that tight. You would have to be careful that the beads do not spill out as the housing which contains them will be on its side.
When it stops raining I'll go out and have a look to see if there is enough room to just remove the plastic part of the compressor.
