| EGR Valve and DPF Cleaner |

I'm a bit out of my depth here, which is not uncommon, so hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction. I'm about to buy some Forte Diesel Turbo Cleaner and Diesel Treatment to add to my 2005 Disco 3, 2.7 TDV6. Forte appears to get good reviews, so it seems that it might be worthwhile doing. I see that I can buy a pack which also includes DPF Cleaner and Regenerator. I've a vague idea about what DPF is and also a vague thought that it is connected to the car's EGR valve. Would that be correct? I ask because several years ago that valve packed up and I had it blanked. My question then is if the DPF cleaner works on the EGR valve and the EGR valve is blanked, is there any point in using the cleaner?

2005 don’t have a DPF
If EGR blanked. No point. Won’t work
