Some festive cheer...

The D3 is now three years old. Serviced, taxed and MOT'd.

And for the past couple of weeks, there has been much contemplation among the family over the future of the silver beast. The D3 is a company car and as of this year the company have changed their policy on company cars to become 'environmentally active' ( Rolling Eyes ) and as a result, CO2 cut-offs have been introduced and to have a new D3 would be a no-no.

So, it was either keep our current 3-year old D3 - or have no D3 altogether. Shocked

And, indeed, I was worried when I heard such comments as "It's maybe not perfect for all the motorway miles we do" and "It is a bit tricky to park in town".

And so, the votes have been counted and verified (this is better than Strictly Come Dancing any day Wink ) and I can now reveal...

...That she's here to stay Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I've been instructed to find a free day and give her a full Autoglym wash and wax, polish, shine - the lot - as she's a bit grimey and worn looking right now (see my other thread!) and restore her to factory-fresh condition.

Long may she continue to serve...

Merry Christmas!

P.S. The company car budget will be funding a new sporty little run-around.. I'll keep you posted! Thumbs Up
P.P.S This is the first time in 20+ years that the company car has been bought over and not sold after 3 years. Shows how special this one has been 8)
P.P.S We all wish to thank the members of this forum for helping us through the numerous teething woes we had with the D3 and to those we've met at Rockingham and Tong etc.

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
