Thanks Robbie,
I can‘t remember ever seeing my voltages over 14.1V based on everytime I plug in the IID tool (about 1 year or so) - Any suggestions on what I can/should do next?
Do I hope for the best and see how I get on heading back home on Saturday, a min of 8+ hr journey, or someting I can do before Saturday?
Cheers

Pete, any idea where to start looking for the P0101 code ?
The description below and video should provide some direction
Basically this P0101 diagnostic trouble code (DTC) means that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit. The PCM detects that the actual MAF sensor frequency signal is not within a predetermined range of the calculated MAF value for more than 4.0 seconds. Other MAF sensor circuit DTC trouble codes are P0100, P0102, P0103, and P0104. This DTC is a generic OBD-II powertrain code. It is considered generic because it applies to all makes and models of vehicles (1996-newer), although specific repair steps may vary depending on the model.
Thanks for that link, I have looked a bit more with the iid, will continue with my old post here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic124125.html so iguana can carry on with his battery problems.

Based on reading last few days, I think the Alternator is still charging, but only at around 14 - to 14.2 volts, so nowhere near the 15v that I should be seeing
Not much I can do up here, but setting off home tomorrow (well hopefully I‘ll make it!), but bit of advi ce needed.....I‘m guessing that lowering the load on the battery/alternator will help on the journey home, luckily it will be in the day time, so can save on lights etc, but as I have a 2nd battery system, should I be thinking of disconnecting the 2nd one from the main battery?
Plan will be to replace the alternator next week
Any other tips also greatefully recieved
Cheers

14.1v is normal for me after initial post start boost of 15 or so, since changing battery I rarely see 15.something that was the norm. To me sounds like battery.
PS Just reread thread, it could be both alternator & battery!! All IMNEO (NE = non expert).

Iggy have you had the battery tested ?
If not I would to make sure it's not on its way out !!
Or get a spare battery up there to take with you on the journey home just for peace of mind so that you have a back up
If you get stuck and you are any where near Oldham I have a spare battery in the garage MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎

Well we have to go through Glasgow, which is 2+ hrs away on the way home, will be able to stop around there to get battery. I did leave it overnight day before yesterday without charing and it did start next day, so it does seem to have enough ooomph for a stop and re-start.
We‘re just going to have to see how it goes on Saturday Iggy/Ieuan

Quick update, car been on charge all night, removed charger, got in and turned ignition on......voltage was reading 11.6V on IID tool. Started her and she jumped to 14.1V, before reaching a new record of 14.5V after 1 min.
Drove for 10 mins to get papers and voltage was constant at either 14.4 or 14.5V, so living in hope that things may hold out for the journey home tomorrow!
Should I dissconnect the 2nd battery as a precaution?
Cheers
