serviced and repaired by a reliable mechanic friend but while he does a great job for a reasonable price he is unable to reset the service lights or remove fault messages from the display. Currently, it has said 'low coolant level' for weeks but there is no probs with the coolant.
I have tried to reset service counter and fault message using the directions found on here but they don't work.
So how do you guys on here who do your own repairs etc reset your vehicles??

Get 10forcash to pop round and clear the faults will be one way. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Low coolant level warning used to be associated with a faulty float sensor ISTR  21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Surely the coolant level light would go out once it is topped up, like the washer bottle. Sounds like a sensor fault or other problem.

Warranty issue the float sensor is prous and takes in coolant, then it sinks giving the false reading. See the dealer for a new one. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Thanks for the replies. I saw that porous float issue while searching ont tinternet last night. Is it a free repair even for out of warranty vehicles do you know. Mine is a late 2004. Badda bing.......How you doin'?
