L320 RRS parts into D4
Hi all,
I got an D4 M12 and think about upgrading some stuff to L320 parts. As the two vehicles share the same platform, I'd like to do some upgrades. Unfortunately I didn't find anywhere a list of common parts between the two vehicles. What a pity.
1. Leather memory seats
Right now, I have the most basic cloth seats (no seat heating, no motors). I got an offer of brown seats from a 2007 L320. Only the front seats, as my D4 is a two person camper. As far as I understand, the seats fit on the hardware side perfectly in a D4 (same platform).

Q1: As the seats have the memory on the seat side (vs. D4 on the door card), is it plug and play (I got an IID tool)?
Q2: I would swap also the cubby box armrest thing in between the front seats. Is it the same part on the L320 like D4?

2. Steering wheel
The D4 wheel does have all I need (no heating), but the buttons for cruise control and volume are on the same side and sometimes I mix them up. The l320 does have the volume on the right and all the other buttons seem to be there.
Q3: Can I swap the steering wheels (plug and play)?
edit: I just found out that the early l320s don't have a joystick to navigate through the instrument cluster menu. Only the later l320s have it, but it's the very same steering wheel as the D4s have. Case closed.

Memory seat will only move for a second at a time unless the Lin red wire is connected up.
I don’t know if the Lin bus is the same in D4.
It does the rain sensor and sunroof
You could fit a non memory switch pack to seat.
I think seat heaters have been covered elsewhere

With everything electrical I would only be swapping RRS ← → D3 and RRS2010+ ← → D4 because of the electronic architecture changes.

I would not be happy with the result from a pre-2010 RRS seat set in my D4.
I'm looking now to find some L320 facelift seats. But those are obviously rare and more expensive. Additionally I need a set set of buttons on the door card and a different HVAC control unit.
More work than expected. I'll post upcoming updates in here.

Hello again, I received an offer for RRS parts. Maybe someone could quickly give a hint if those parts fit:
Range Rover Sport, L320 2011 306DT 180 KW 100k Miles
I'd get
both front seats
door panels (for the seat memory button panel)
HVAC untit (for controlling the seat heating)
The seats seem dirty, but according to the seller no damages.
