Will they fit a 59 plate SE?

Did the same. Split difference at £37.50. He sells sets to fit early d3 or d3/4 models. Good value Thumbs Up

What a bargain. Thanks for bringing them to my attention.

Fitted mine today and they look as though they've always been there. Great.

However, I can't figure out what those L shape brackets are for and where they go.

Can someone enlighten me please?
Thanks
John

If you didn't use the brackets, it's possible that your motor previously had a set of flaps fitted and that the original fixing brackets are still in place.

When I bought my flaps some years ago, I too was totally mystified about these brackets. Someone on here kindly posted some photos showing where they were supposed to go. Fortunately, a previous owner had had flaps fitted to mine so I didn't need to fit the brackets. I'm sure a search on here will find the photos. Thumbs Up

Hi

The bracket is for the rear mud flap.

It fits to the body work between the bumper and the wheel arch to take the middle screw holding the mud flap.
