Limited performance - whooshing from the engine

Today driving down M6, the triangle warning came on and a limited performance message. The car gains momentum but has loast all the pull.

I will take a look tomorrow but when I try to pull away, I hear a whooshing sound almost as if a hose has gone?

Any clues? Big Cry

Not always so you may need to prod and squeeze the big air hoses to see the split. Other times it looks like a psycho knife attack.

Starting to see more leaks from the intercoolers themselves now that some D3s are getting on a bit.

Right, I will investigate tomorrow. If it's an easy fix, I will just do it myself.

Facing the engine look into the engine bay ,left hand side . It comes of the inlet manifold and disappears downward to the intercooler Thumbs Up

So, I went out, had a look and I think I located the hose, but squeezing it, prodding it etc - none the wiser.

I started the car, listened - still not sure of what I am looking at. It is quite hard to reach it from the top, so is there a definitive way of confirming that this is the offending item? Banging Head

Get someone to rev it whilst you listen around the engine bay
You can also remove the plastic cover on the os front lower part of the chassis and you can see the bottom of the intercooler hose Thumbs Up

Maybe completely off the mark here as I am not mechanical but we had a similar "reduced performance".

It turned out to be a hole in one of the hoses ( mice)

I was told by LR Assist that it goes into RP at just over 3k revs, so if I drove and didn't take above 3k it was OK, just meant driving a little different until I could get it booked in

Okay,

It seems like a small hole, but enough to whoosh at the bottom. I think I will get my local garage to swap it over tomorrow, but where best to get the hose from? I would need to purchase it and take it to them to install.

Suggestions?
