Locking fuel cap

I have one of the 4.0L petrol V6 D3s and the fuel cap is not a locker nor is the fuel door have a latch.

I tried a general one but the engine light keeps popping on because according to the reader I guess the cap is not sealing tight enough.

Is there either a locking cap or retrofit locking fuel door that could be put on?

Lorna,

Does the fuel door not lock when you lock your car?

No it does not lock at all. Well, don't want to take the chance. It has happened around the area.

I am going to check with my local Dealer to see. I hate the fact that my fuel door doesn't lock or require the key to open it. On my older Disco you have to use your key to open the fuel door.

Those prices are a bit out of date, diesel is £1.26/litre round here now Big Cry

WOW Snowy just looked at it again. That just highlights how ridiculous it is and how out of control our prices are!
We should organise a D3 march on London ourselves!!!

i would be up for that, to see if we all could combine various LR clubs around the uk and do as the truckers do and march on London. We are the most hated owners in the uk anyway Censored

Try locking the car & then see if the fuel flap can be opened. You shouldn't be able to in this situation.

When the car is unlocked, so is the fuel flap.

Best Wishes,
