MY12 D4 Intermittently Stays in First Gear

MY12 D4 Intermittently Stays in First Gear: This has happened a couple of times lately and it is when I am in High Suspension mode. It won't change up even at 4000rpm. I've cured it temporarily by using the flappy paddles to override the auto gearbox function.

Any suggestions on a fix. The car is going in part-ex at the end of the month so it's not a show-stopper but it would be good to get it sorted.

Bill Wright Thumbs Up

I have had this occur a couple of times but have always put it down to catching the flappy by mistake and have when concentrating found myself doing this. Obviously using the flappy again gives it a new instruction. Just a thought anyway Thumbs Up

Good thinking Lespes. Given the circumstances when it happened, that may well have been the case. Thumbs Up

Next time it does it, hold the right paddle for 4 seconds to clear the command shift mode. Done it loads of times myself.
