Need Help Please With Crank Sensor

Hi just fitted new crankshaft to my 06 discovery 3 (2.7 TDV6) can anyone tell me how to align crank sensor pick up ring please.

The sensor should be adjusted to achieve a 0.4 to 1.5mm air gap from the ring.

Thanks for that. But need to know if the pickup ring needs to be put on the crank a special way?

Yes, there is a tool to align, and fit the ring onto the back of the crankshaft.

You need to be very lucky to get it 100% accurate without the tool

Manufactured by SPX, sold onto main dealers. If you are on good terms with your local dealer, they may lend you one

Failing that, you need to find a tool supplier

That's why my newest car is a 1999 Disco 2 V8 with 285.000 miles

The problem is the missing documentation, not the LR
