hey guys ave had my new D3 commercial for 3 or 4 weeks now and am luvin it my only proble is i think the turbo takes too long to kick in unless you get the boot into it as for when you were talkin about the tax i think it`s great as i also have a 1.6 16v astra and it cost me Â£180 for a year also but all in all i think it is good ordered my disco3.co.uk sticker for it and also one for my colleague.

Maybe you need to get it chiped lots of the people on here have had it and they seem to say it helped a lot with the lag .

Big time ..

if I had a D3 with that Lag (like when I got it) .. I would be driving an X5 now.

The TC was/is a must have IMO.

Sorry to be a party pooper but the fact that you are paying Â£180 a year in RFL identifies the vehicle as a commercial. Therefore you must adhere to commercial vehicle speed limits.

you pay Â£180 a year due to the emissions and the offset for the first 45k as far as am aware nothing to do with it being a commercial

If that were the case, all D3's would be Â£180. If someone would like to PM me a reg no for a commercial I can check it in work tonight and report back.

I think Hightry is correct you know........

The D3 commercial IS legally defined as a commercial vehicle and built by LRSV. It is not a CDV.

However, my D3 (van) is an SE model CDV with two seats and a rear load-space, but I pay the standard car tax based on emmisions and can travel happily the maximum speed limit for cars
