am new but need help
i currently have a dico 3 which is common oil pump failer it is a 2005 tdv6 diesal now we have rebuilt the engine from scratch so after all the work it turns over and doesnt want to start the only fault code is p0341 cam sensor circuit a so changed that and still the same code,no start no fuel either at the injectors either now we thinking we put the magnetic ring on wrong

At the rear centre of the engine there is a fuel bleed valve, it looks like a tyre valve turn the key on and press the centre of the valve in and fuel should come out, its timed to run for about 35 seconds if I recall.

do the magnetic ring have to be bang on abelive their is a tool
code 303/1130 for placeing these bang on tdc ?

The cam sensor circuit tends to be logged when the cam and crank sensor are not sync'd.
This may be due to incorrect valve timing, a fault in the cam sensor circuit or sensor itself, cam pulleys not fitted correctly, or the magnetic ring. There is a special tool available to ensure the magnetic pickup on the crankshaft is fitted correctly

I'm not sure how the cam sensor actually gets its timing signal from on the TDV6. However on most engines, diesel or petrol, the ECU will inhibit fuel/ ignition unless there is a valid cam position input.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.
D3 TDV6. Gone.

the pictue above is that the correct way to do this also is their any one in the manchester /cheshire area we can borrow it from ? and of course donate to the forum for your help ?

Sorry if i am being thick. Have you had the oil pump casing fail on your on a 2005 plate hence the rebuild ? Thought they were safe as were the original design ? Thanks jamesJames favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

yes and had the sheard crank as well between cylinder 2/3 lack of oil so thought pump !
so does anyone have the tool to help to locate the crank ring correctly for us ? i could pay a deposit on for upon its safe return
