Hi guys hope everyone is ok. I have a discovery 3 2007 tdv6 i have a lot of service history includung cam belt change and idler pullys but nothing about oil pump.Can any one please tell e the easiest way of checking if it has been changed or not many thanks Gary

You have to take the cam belt cover off, takes about an hour if you’ve not done in before.
Worth doing, I ordered an oil pump kit for my 05 when doing my cam belt only to find it had been done  so if you do need a genuine FoMoCo oil pump kit give me a shout it’s in the for sale section. Steve

No mate, I was gutted wished I’d checked first☹️ there’s a moral there somewhere.

Interestingly here in Aust, the LR dealer price for the oil pump is nearly 4 times that of the Ford dealer price but I believe you cannot get them through Ford UK dealerships.
The LR dealer product comes with the Ford pump and LR gaskets and seals, where the Ford dealer product comes with the Ford pump and LR gaskets and seals all for 4 times the price.

Yeah
We get them from Citroen dealers.
But only save a small amount in comparison.

Thats because the motor wasn't fitted to a UK Ford model .
