Oil pump replacement PROBLEM.

Just referred to several posts on here to get the belts off, and get the oil pump off which helped massively.
I now have a slight issue.

Upon refitting the new pump the plate that sits below it with the bottom seal...it’s been pushed and bent and now the lower bolts won’t go in because that plate is misaligned.

I hope someone can give some advice and hope it’s a moderately easy remedy as this has been one hell of a battle!
HELP!

p.s it’s the plate in the picture with the bolts dropped in. They’re only there to keep it in place as it’s bent it wont stay in place.

If it is that bad....(how did that happen? Totally unnecessary damage normally i am afraid... ) and since it seals the oilpump..

I suggest to replace the whole gasket, so you have to drop the sump and ladderframe

Not what I was hoping to hear!
It happened when removing the old pump, the right hand side got caught somehow and the seal broke loose.

Right. I recently replaced two front air struts, the reservoir, compressor, and front and rear valve blocks.
I’ve stripped the belts off on this and got it the point I’d be putting all back together (assuming I hadn’t broken the bottom plate).
Given the above info, would you suggest the fix is a diy job or better left to a garage?
If the latter would you know what ballpark I’d be looking at to get someone to do that?

That’s fab I’ll take a look. It appears the gasket is £30 give or take depending on where you get it. Thanks for pointing me in that direction SmileSmile much appreciated!
