any advise how to remove them without breaking the plugs - I need to remove my drivers side to run some cable for the roof lights ??
I seem to recall they came off intact when I stripped the D3 - but Im sure the D4 ones will break (sods law) Duncan

If I were to try to remove the covers now with the benefit of hindsight, I would apply equall force to both edges rather than just pulling up from the windscreen edge. I reckon my locating pin snapped for that reason. Colin

The locating pins are top and bottom so I would ease the top, then bottom, then middle section.
D4 covers will probably be differently configured against mine tho. Colin

The threads and technical sheet is excellent .....
I have had water in the driver side sill ..... no sun roof issues for me ....
.....so wondered where all the leakage was coming from ?? ....
Hopefully this will solve the problem ..... the rubber trim at the very base of the door frame pillar looked squasheds from the trim itself.... so after a good clean placed the trim on the outside of the trim so the crud cannot collect in it and block the water from draining away .....
Anywhere else the old leakage can come from on a TDV6 ?

Thanks to Comc and y'all for another great thread.
Did the A-pillar job yesterday... too early to tell if it worked.
I mistakenly bought 2 kits - but there is enough stuff in one kit to do both sides - though only one sticky patch per side. I used Duct Tape for the other hole - it has exactly the same properties as the kit patches.
So now I have a spare kit. Doh! eBay!

Update...
Not the best time to dry a car - it's a damp December.
Used Aquavac to remove about a pint of water - wait a few hours for water to redistribute through the sponge/soundproofing, then remove another pint. Repeated about 4 times until no more significant water removal.
I now have a dehumidifier in the car with all the doors shut and air vents closed.....

think i am gonna have to look into doing this as i think my A pillar (external) trims are squeaking at motorway speeds its taken me a while to narrow it down to these but the other day on the motorway i would the window down and grabbed the drivers side trim and it stopped the squeak
