Can anyone help??, I'm looking at taking a 12v feed from the trailer electrics fusebox behind the L hand removeable panel in the rear...which one can supply 10 amps max and is this a feasable way of powering a 2meter rig without having to go through the bulkhead at the front to the battery
I'm mounting the rig in the top glovebox.
ps, I NEVER tow a caravan but occasionally use a trailer with basic lightboard2007 HSE Java Black.....sold

You can take a permanent +ve from the CJB, there are two 'spare' relay sockets at the bottom right, a male spade connector in the second horizontal slot of the top socket will provide the power you need - although I came across an 06MY that didn't have the pins soldered in... other 06MY's have it as do 05 & 07MY's.... weird
I'd be most grateful and its yet another pint on my owing list!

There ya go! brown wire with blue terminal is the +ve pick-up, it's fused@ 40A so i'd suggest an in-line fuse to suit whatever you're connecting to it

Sorry for being thick , but where is this box in the photo? It looks like a useful resource to know about. Is it behind the dash or at the rear. My lighting fusebox doesn't look like this, neither does the one under the bonnet.
