It actually gives you two bites of the cherry, so if it's coming out come what may, the hex will still be there when the body has been mullered.

Copper brush to *really* thoroughly clean around the nipple.
Socket of the right size.
Gentle tapping of the socket while positioned over the nipple. The objective here is to further loosen any dirt, crud and corrosion around the thread on the nipple without damaging anything.
Repeat the copper brush treatment after some "percussive persuasion" per the above.
Get a small syringe, fill 50/50 acetone and ATF, give it a good shake and apply a couple of drops where the nipple meets the caliper.
Leave for 30 mins.
Repeat socket tapping, then start gently working the socket tight/loose/tight/loose.
Or get on to Advanced Factors and order a new caliper  I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
