Recommend me a brake flaring tool
I seem to have been able to avoid doing much brake work on the D2 and 110, but it's inevitable that I will need to at some point. Can someone recommend me a tool that will cope with the D3, D2 and 110? I have read that the D3 pipes are harder than the others to flare, so wanted to make sure I get a tool suitable for all three vehicles.

If you have something wrong with a brake pipe, would it not be better to replace the pipe with a new one. Not sure whether that's possible with pre D3
Very difficult with the normal failure point on the D3 and why would you put steel back on that'll fail again in exactly the same way?Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Gosh. Wasn't expecting that price, but i do have some SP tools and they are very nice. I might ask for a group buy present for Christmas!
Is that kit easy to use with pipes that are still on/under the car?
Not so easy to use under the car as it's a bench/vice mounted affair.
I've wanted one of these for years, and bought one recently, because I'm going to have to do my brake pipes this year.Richard

Hi, I used the Sykes Pickavant Flaremaster2 for my brake pipe renewal. Easy enough to use in situ under the car. Bought 5mtrs of ATE steel brake pipe with connectors. My car is run in Germany, the copper type brake pipe is not accepted during the 2 year TUV test. My car is now 10 years old. Was a bit shocked at how much the brake pipes had corroded. Renewed the lot except the full rear brake lines which I cut at the compressor area under the exhaust shield. Body off soon, so that will be getting done too. At this point I also purchased the IID tool as the ABS module needs a program to bleed it. Good luck
