Pop the bonnet, take keys out, let the car go to sleep.

Disconnect the battery and short the pos and neg cables with a spanner for 10 or 20 seconds. NOT on the battery! Thumbs Up

After disconnecting please put a rubber mat or similar on top of the battery before shorting the leads. Accidentally shorting the battery with a spanner or not good for your health!

I've had to do a reset regularly - usually the driver's window stops working. I find its enough to take off the positive cable from the battery. That puts everything to sleep.

Not sure why you would have to remove both cables and short them?

Am I doing something I shouldn't?

Simon
