[For Sale] 2m x 2m awning and cross bars(price reduction).
selling the awning and black cross bars that I bought to enjoy camping trips but then Covid put paid to that and have now sold the D4.
Awning has only been up about 4 times and only used once for its intended purpose. Comes with all brackets to mount it to the included cross bars, made of rip stop rot resistant material.
Cross bars are complete, couple of surface scratches where the awning brackets were mounted but otherwise all good with 2 keys.
£150 for the awning and bars together (no postage, have to arrange collect/local drop off or own courier)
or £150 for just the awning (no postage, have to arrange collect/local drop off or own courier)
or £30 + £20 postage for the cross bars
no silly offers and roof box not included. (but never say never )

There are movable right angle brackets that fix to the back of the awning frame, that then bolt onto the cross bars through holes that had to be drilled through the bars.
The bars can still fully function independently of the brackets so the awning can be removed easily leaving the bars in place.

Do the crossbars mount directly to a 'stock' D3, or do they need some sort of roof bar to be installed first?

What make is the awning? Would you consider selling it without the bars as I won't need them?

Cross bars fit straight onto factory rails. They are from powerful UK.
The awning is made by off trek and yes I would sell separately2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

I've shown the holes that had to drilled in the cross bars to mount the awning brackets. They don't detract from the bars usability in any way and once fitted you can't see them even without the brackets.

cant believe there has been virtually no interest in this. Come on, grab yourself a cracking bit of kit ready for the summer camping rush.

Rog, I'll give you the £150 for the awning and bars. But it'll have to wait until lockdown's lifted and I can come from N Wales to pick them up, if you're happy with that.
