Box Section ordered today.....25mm x 2mm at 7.5m lengths and some flat 3mm at 6m length

Will be deliverered on Tuesday - Ordered 5 lengths of the box and one of the flat, came to £90 inc delivery (Probably too much, but can always be used)

I have to admit that you were all right about going NATO Green, just done 1 coat over the blue (Will need another as some blue showing through)

6+ hrs painting today, did whole tub and the whole of the underside...got covered in paint as well Evil or Very Mad

Anyway, looking nice and shiny now Thumbs Up

Well it's been blinking ages since I had an update, but lack of a welder meant I had to wait......this all changed when I got one from the forum Thumbs Up

At last I've now managed to carry out some more work, essentially cut the metal for the frame and spot welded them together to form the camping box - My first ever bit of welding Smile

Plan to weld it all together properly this weekend, drill holes for bolting on to trailer (I plan to remove the whole box for normal trailer use) and do all the cross beams & supports. Will also need to grind down all of the rough weld pieces Rolling with laughter

Will try and update again in a few days time, but hernia operation on Tuesday so no work or heavy lifting for quite a while

Roof tent is 30cm, box & trailer height = 180cm.....garage door gap = 220cm, so go 10 cm to play with Shocked Iggy/Ieuan

That should be fine! If you can not get any roof racks that low the. Hi Ieuan,

Hope youve not just measured the door size, dont forget if its an up and over door you will need to allow for the actual door.

I made the same mistake and now I have to remove the ladder and and let the tyres down a bit to get mine to get it in the garage. Banging Head

So I have a bit of re-engineering to do on the supporst over the summer.

Good luck with yours, looks like your doing a grand job and keep the updates coming. Thumbs Up
