She's arrived...

At last I can personally understand the feeling that you all have for your cars. After 2 seperate delays my new car has finally turned up (22ndDec) just in time for Christmas. Very Happy
Nothing Santa could bring was going to beat that feeling. (Sorry to 'er indoors - in case she reads this)

I have spent the Xmas period ferrying the family here, there and anywhere.
She needs a good clean now.

Now to get the side steps and tow pack fitted. Thanks to this site I will be better prepared to tackle these jobs. Though might still ask for some tips. Smile

Dont fit the side steps if you want to do off roading.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

To put on the steps you need to cut holes in the plastic sill trims.

I had steps on for 3 months and scratched & dented the silver strip down the side so eventually removed them and had to buy new plastic trims for approx €120, so combined with the fact I can't sell the steps as they're damaged, it was quite an expensive waste of time. Sad

I also found them a bit impractical in everyday use as well, as I didnt like stepping on them to get in/out and instead had to reach past them, often leaving a dirty mark on the leg of my trousers where they rubbed off the step.
