Sorry to trouble all the experienced members, but I am new to this site, just bought my fist Disco 3 less than a week ago and loving it, have also just bought some second hand (good cond) side steps but I am technically inept, does nay-one know of a garage who would fit for me in the cheshire / manchester area

Thanks for that, have dropped a message, the mercedes dealer where I bought the car from were uselss, they were due to fit the steps but stated that they wouldn't fit, however the garage who supplied the steps said they were perfect for the car!!!

They really are quite easy to fit - I did, and I do not consider myself particuarly adept at these things.
Once you have the printed instructions and few hours.....go for it. Finally got one......Silver HSE.
