Only a single key and no blade inside

Hi all,

I purchased a secondhand 2010 D4 and the single key it came with doesn't have the blade inside for emergency opening the vehicle.

Any idea what my options are? Is that the only key lock on the door? If so I guess I could speak to a breaker and get a single lock and key from them and use that on my car?

Thanks in advance

P.s. I hope I never need that emergency key but I'd rather have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it....

get a new key fro dealer / ebay or whatever and programm it to the car with help of dealer or someone with capable tool for backup
I think dealers can cut the blade for key which is missing it as well
the blade

I have a spare electric bit but the actual blade I don’t have... I don’t have the original blade to make a copy of.

landrover should have your key number on record and should be able to make you a new blade.

or just replace the whole lock.

For a D3 its about £55 on ebay china.

Double that and more for UK options.

Not sure how a new key from eBay. would provide access via the emergency lock. How would you get it cut to the unknown profile?.
A second key would be useful if the first is lost but not if the battery goes flat.
Keys can be programmed using an original Autel maxi pro AP200, either another Landrover owner's or your own, currently £45 from autelstore.co.uk

A dealer might be able to get a key pattern number from LR but a dealer provided key is going to be expensive.

Pretty sure there is only 1 emergency lock. What would be the point of having more?.

Suggestion of getting replacement key and lock from breaker seems a possibility.
