Slight wobble at slow speed
Hi,
I noticed a few weeks back that when driving slowly <30mph there was a slight wobble, felt like the body wobbling from side to side, laterally. This has got worse over the course of a week or two.
Today I replaced the front upper control arms, as these were original (165,000 miles), I'd replace the lower rears last year which were really bad. Looking at the bushes of the old fronts there were some tears in them which I hoped would have been the cause, however on a test drive after it seems the wobble is still there, but maybe not as bad as it had been.
Whilst I was doing the change I checked the front lowers and they all seemed to be ok.
I'm now pulling out what little hair I have left thinking what it could be, maybe a buckled wheel? I was thinking of taking it to the tyre shop to get the wheels balanced and checked anyway.
Any ideas?

Sounds very like a tyre issue (flat spot). It would have to be a serious buckle or imbalance to cause wobble at low speed. Or, worn toe link/s and or knuckle bushes. When you are at the tyre centre if there's no obvious tyre or wheel issue. Ask them to check the wheel bearings for play, and that the rear toe links/knuckle bushes are sound. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

As Profsr G says try changing your wheels for a different set and see if that makes a difference otherwise it could be rear upper arms... feels like the front and back of the car aren't connected...I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Good news!!
One of the rear tyres had a nice bulge in the tyre. The annoying thing is I had run my hands around the tyres checking, and I guess the bulge must have been where the tyre was sat Also there was some of the steel band threads sticking out!!
Drives so much nicer now it has a new tyre on
