just been to pick up an my16 protection plate from Ray (RLD) and have to say it is every bit as good as the previous ones and should stop the sc**bags from nicking my spare. the pictures above don't really show how well made it is but it is worth every penny compared to having to replace a full size spare wheel

New my16 RLD protector plate
I've just taken delivery of, and now fitted, the new 16 Model Year RLD spare wheel protector plate.
I only ordered it from Ray Tuesday and really pleased/surprised to see it arrive this morning.
Really pleased with the new design, of the MY16 protector, as it fits nice and snug and provides the security to keep the scumbags from nicking my spare, and/or creating any damage try such.
I've had my spare stolen from my previous D4, by some low-life , and amazingly from right under the noses of the reception staff at a Premiere Inn where I stayed overnight. I wouldn't wish that feeling of finding the ass of my D4 high in the air the next day, then having to go through all the hassle with the police and insurance company. This and my previous RLD spare wheel protector are a sound investment, as the spare wheel and winch arent cheap, as the on stealing such damage the winch and it all adds to a huge cost, even if the insurance company pay out!

My new D4 HSE Lux spare wheel now protected by the new model RLD. Used the previous variant on my RRS and never lost the spare wheel. Looking good and feeling smug. Thanks Ray...
