James, what do you think if I connect this switch to the cable to main battery and solenoid T max. My main battery I think is 110 amps, so I can charger separately.
I don’t understand Max rating 500 amps for 5 seconds.
Sorry I don’t know what I do wrong I can’t upload the photo, maybe is the settings I have.
Magic I did it 😂

Really sorry only just saw this. I’d say that isolating the green sensor cable to the controller unit will require a much less bulky switch and have the same effect (if you don’t want to simply unplug the controller)
There is only a minimal draw through that cable but if the circuit is broken it will never sense the voltage and link the batteries
I’m sure it’s the green cable from memory but do check
Your switch would also work in practice but I know what I’d rather try and mount inside the vehicle!D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Finally going to connect up the final bits of wiring tomorrow.
Found this online - does this diagram look correct?
I've read the instruction leaflet that came with the kit but I'm still not 100%

Only thing I haven't done is earth the aux battery to the chassis - just connected the earth to the main battery earth.
Do I need the chassis earth as well?
Thanks again formerly Disco3Ben

I would have thought ok (though with a bit of voltage drop depending on cable thickness) that way but there is an earthing stud by the aux battery that I’ve use on the 2 cars. I was going to go out and take a pic then remembered she’s not there any more.

That’s the one. Luckily I had SWMBO on hand to take that nut off and put it back on as a bit fiddly. She wasn’t impressed with my answer to her question of “what happens if i drop the nut?”. I said “don’t”. She didn’t drop it, and didn’t tell me that so I was sweating longer.

I presume that's a black plastic cap that just levers off?

It just comes off with a spanner, so SWMBO tells me. We just used a ratchet spanner, plastic and all.

Same as Del, I used the earthing stud for the aux.
