I was getting some irregular voltage readings today. The main battery which is only 6 weeks old was at 11.8 before starting then with the engine running they were both over 15v, during a small drive they both sat at a steady 14.7 but then after stopping the main battery seemed to be dropping quite quick

Same as Andy, I got 6m and had some spare. 5m may do at a push but it's always better to have too much than not enough!!
