Cheers, will have a look into that. I bet there is about 10 to chose from and I won't understand the difference between any of them.

There are only two, Bluetooth and none Bluetooth, they are then programmed over the 'net to suit your vehicle, none Bluetooth is cheaper but not as versatile as a Bluetooth version. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

It is in to the main dealer tomorrow to do the Airbag recall and the detachable tow bar recall. That is all outstanding
All being well I will fly in on Friday to pick it up. Drive back Friday night and Sat. Unless it has breakdown.
Will try to do a better list of things that need looking at for anybody else, who like, me doesn't know where to start with these. Thanks to those that contributed.
Still not sure about the door problem.. Would be good to understand how much of an issue this really is.

So, whilst my idea of a list was a good place to start. It seems the D3 has other ideas and has put together her own list.
So far in less than a week she has own her list of;
Slipping TC
Non locking drivers door
Amber suspension warning. This comes on when the car is sitting there on tickover but only on first start up. It goes off if I just restart and stays off. Edit stays on amber with odd spell of going to red.
Near side rear door seems temperamental to open.
Doesn't always connect BT to phone.
I brought the IID tool in the group buy . Just got to figure out what it is for now
Hoping the garage is going to support the car and fix some of the problems. Just a loooong ass drive back to see them.

Just thought I would do a calculation of what has been spent on the D3 so far, plus purchase price.
Some of this was warranty work but still a shock.

I'm in the same boat as you. I am hoping that once I have worked through all of the issues things will settle down and will not cost a fortune to run. Looking at the comments of others they can be expensive.to maintain and keep on the road but I must admit they are lovely to drive. Good luck with your list. I am halfway through mine.! Cheers

I don't think the list ever gets completed
But apart from a D4 I am not sure what else could do what I need the D3 to do.
Possibly a newer Shogun
Couldn't afford it without the forum though. Appreciate all the contributions that other members make here.

I doubt it's much help, but I've still got a few items on my to do list from three years ago when I bought my D3. That said, despite a few relatively minor problems it's been pretty good.
I may update next week once we've investigated the new squeak that seems to have developed.

A quick trip to my local Indy has identified it as the prop shaft centre bearing. Booked in for a new on on Friday.
It's been on the way out for a while, so no surprise really. Particularly at 190,000 odd miles.

Maintaining a disco is a bit like the painting of the Forth Bridge. Once you get to the end of the list, it is time to go back to the startD3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven
Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..

First thing you need to do is go to your garage and hand over you bank details so they can clear you out
