Steering Locked no Start

I put my Discovery 4 (2015 MY) into the Land Rover dealers for programming a new key. Car had been driving fine but I wanted another key fob.

After keys being on back order for a while they have now done the programming and the car can’t start and I am told it says steering locked.

How can programming a key mess up the steering lock?

Thanks
Nick

I assume you mean franchised LR dealer?

I would ask them, by email, so that the response is in writing, how programming a key can affect the steering lock.

Good luck.

Land Rover Franchised Dealer finally sorted this issue and now the steering lock behaves as normal. They did not replace any parts for this repair - only programming.
