Suspension height , software modify |
|
Is it possible to contact the tech support , or the guys in service for modifying the cars suspension software ?
I want the lowest profile while speeding which is 160 km/h to be 120-130 km/h
do you guys have any idea if they can modify the software when they connect their computer ?
I have seen some software on youtube , i'll post the links , in which one person gave a web site, you can buy the software to calibrate your own suspension height settings.
If that 3rd party software can modify it , the guys in the service can change things too right ?

Hi,
I've seen a software for Range-Rover P38 but I don't think it exists for the D3...
BTW, all ECU (incl. suspension control) communicates on a CAN bus wich is crypted

it is ofcourse cyrpted , only landrover software can calibrate it . I think they are checking the suspension levels each service . What i'm asking is , does landrover official service have the software to calibrate it , but can they change the levels if they want to ?

AFAIK no - this is like the holy grail of updates at the moment (actually more the speed at which it lowers from offroad back to normal height) , everyone wants it - but we can't get it

Using IDS they can run calibration programs for the air suspension. They can also put it into special modes to allow wheel alignment etc, but they CANNOT alter anything regarding the standard suspension heights or speed settings.
As Heine says...whoever comes up with a cheap and easy plug-in box to sort this out will make a lot of friends/money
If you really need something like this (and you're rich), then the only option at the moment is the Matzker kit. Do a search on this forum for more info.

It's expensive but fairly easy to install...some of the users on the Spanish D3 forum have it and it apparently works extremely well. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

As PaulP says, LR dealers cannot get into this software level, it's a closely guarded LR secret. Disco 5 HSE Lux

Does anyone have a photo of the control switch of the Matzker kit installed in the car?

It's just a switch with 3 positions: Lowered, Regular, Raised
