Tailgate only opens with keyfob

Hi All, First thanks for accepting me on the forum.

I recently bought my LR3 (2008) and have some weird issue with the door locking system.

When I bought the car the opening and locking system was working normally and without any problem. Then all of a sudden, The tailgate doesn't unlock anymore when I open the car with central locking on my keyfob.
Instead it will only open with the keyfob when I press the Landroverlogo on the keyfob and I need to press it twice. first to open it about 1 inch and the another push to be able to open it normally.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Its most likely the actuator starting to fail now is the time to fix it before it fails completley Andrew

I also had to remove, clean the switch for the tail gate, was full of gunk. worked for me.

I had to change the (micro) switch and I also have changed the actuator. But the mail problem was the micro swith... A 15 minutes and 12 quid job Smile
