Several of us are about to get our Takla's from the last Groupbuy. I have already received mine and on looking through it there's no advice on how/where to position it under the car. Obviously I don't want to use it and find I've damaged the jack, or more importantly the vehcile, first time out.
So are there any do's and don'ts, and has anyone got any pictures of the unit in use on a Disco3?

Advice
Cannot tell you where its supposed to go,
I too could do with some guidence.
However before placing it under the motor, I would recommend that you try blowing it up away from objects!!
I was in a rush to try mine,on first attempt, busted the connection fitting, Sorted now.(Thanks to matthius).
At least you would see where all the connectios are. Therefor not making the same mistake i did.
Placing the jack in the right place shouldn't be an issue. If you can't work it out on your own, them perhaps you shouldn't be using such a device Seriously though, you won't break anything unless you're really daft about what you're doing. Only worthwhile piece of advice I can offer (from bitter experience) is to chock the front and rear wheels before inflation...... Here's a pic of mine being used. I think it need to be a bit forther under and I use 3 tonne axle stands to rest the car onto before I take the wheels off (never work under a car with only a jack etc). Also I use a Viair compressir to inflate the jack as I couldn't get the exhaust inlet pipe thingie to work, even with a bung. Be careful on gravel surfaces as I've had the car pushed away from the jack as the tyre doesn't have enough grip, also remember to apply the EPB!

DSL (or any other jacking experts) - do you have any good photos of correctly positioned axle stands front and rear?
Also, about to visit MachineMart this week to buy a new set of axle stands. Anyone bought any from here that do the job on a D3, if so which ones?

I got the Clarke 6 tonnes (that's 3 tonnes each stand) ones and put them as near to the jacking point as poss. Stable as a rock there.

The only place under the D3 I have not used is the rear where the spare is located. If you have someone with you get them in the car and apply the brakes. Remember to close all the doors. If you are alone chock the wheels with big chocks. Don't lift the vehicle any higher than is necessary. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Also, make sure there are no sharp edges in the vacinity. I managed to puncture my Takla on the edge of a bracket. It was on my Series 2a not the D3, but the same risk applies. A thick piece of old carpet or similar placed over the jack would help reduce the risk.
The puncture was subsequently repaired with a patch and super-glue
