TDV6 Coolant drain and flush HELP!

Hi to all,

Having some issues with my D3 after a replacing the water hoses. I received the car some days ago after a full timing/oil pump service where we also replaced the water hoses.

After dismantling everything we figured all the coolant had drained from the vehicle but apparently not. The old coolant was green and the new one (Havoline XLC) is red. Last couple days the expansion tank needed additional water, but the colour of the coolant is green (which indicates that the coolant had not drained entirely.

As you can see from the picture there is some froth forming but according to my mechanic that’s because the 2 coolants mixed up (which I REALLY hope so).

Also the passenger’s right vent does not blow warm air.

My question is; how do I TOTALLY and entirely drain the whole cooling system?
I am planning on Saturday to spray some pressurized water and air in the heater matrix since the signs are that it is blocked.

Other than that how do I drain the rest of the coolant?

I have read the drain and bleeding procedure and it said I have to get the spare wheel out from under the car to undo a clip to let coolant out. Does this apply for all the vehicles? (the car has rear passenger roof fitted vents and 2 in the load space area that blow warm/cold air accordingly. The centre console rear vents do not seem to work. How do I know if the car is fitter with the rear aircon/heater option?)

Thanks

To drain the engine block there are 2 bolts either side of the engine.
Towards the front.

One is near the alternator bracket mount

If the rear storage compartment on left has a motor you have rear climate.
Also look for 4 pipes running down the left of the car
