Tdv6 oil pressure
Could someone please tell me what oil pressure you should get.
i.e idle and when revved.

No, not till you tell us what you are getting and how you are checking it It can when others can't,

The landrover manual tells me to check it at 3500 rpm after a 6 mile journey. It doesn't tell me what value to expect though
The Citroen manual tells me it should be between 1-4 Bar at 2500rpm when cold
Jag manual says minimum 7psi at idle
above 2500RPM minimum 14.5psi
maximum 58psi
I'm getting 20psi (1.4bar) on idle
and 50psi (3.4bar) when revved.
when cold:
50-55psi idle
over 60psi @2500rpm which is too much really, buts its only at cold

by removing the green oil pressure switch and fitting a gauge

Minimum book figures are 0.7 bar at idle and 1.9 bar at 3.5k, but you should get quite a bit more than this.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
