So on the basis of the work you have done now is there any reason why LR could not have offered the TDV8 in the D3.
The stories floating around at the time was that it would not fit the D3 engine bay which I did not believe as the RRS has essentially the same engine bay as the D3 - and of course there is your work showing that it can be done.

… although even the friendliest MoT testers I know would spot them as being non-standard.
I'm waiting on how folks get on with modified headlamps when the new rules come in next month. If all is good then I'll be treating mine to LEDs in dipped and main beam.

but is not what you call a straight fit. you need the V8 engine, gearbox, looms, ECUs. only if you find an RRS which is ready to be broken.

I completely agree, it’s not a straight forward job, however £20k for a new engine and fitting from Landrover is a lot of money to play with, and potentially your new engine could still have the same issues.

The modded headlamp with the black appears to be a simple layer between the clear unit lens and surface if the lamp.16 D4 Landmark
