Could anyone confirm what spec I need please. I would like something that's up to the job, I think mine's a little under powered
Thanks

Or Tayna have Exide EA10000 for £18 less. Same spec but 4 years rather than 5 guarantee.
Good idea about the receipt! I never think to check. Although I’ve usually ordered a battery by the time I lift the old one out so I’d end up with two!

What does the 019 mean, is it the physical size of the battery ?

Correct - 019 refers to spec for dimensions L354 / W175 / H190 I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

And correct terminals in the right place for a D3/4. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

If you intend to keep the vehicle long term, buy an AGM battery. Worth the additional expense IMO. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Never really looked at AGM - are they really worth it on early D3 without stop / start ? Can I still use my C tek if need be to charge ?

Some cteks support agm.
Usually obvious if it does
On 5A models. If the button is red or blue it supports agm

Theoretically AGM batteries are not suitable for D3s as the charging rate is to high particularly in cold weather, but no question they are far superior to wet cell batteries and people are using them successfully on vehicles they are not designed for particularly vehicles that do short journeys as they accept recharge much faster. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

The AGM batteries fitted in my D3 and 3.0 2010 D4 caused no issues. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
