strange fault in the parking brake

strange fault in the parking brake

Hey all.
I have a strange fault in my discovery3
When I pull up the parking brake in a short pull nothing happens. (No sound or light),
But when I pull up for more than 1 sec the lights are turning on (still no sound from the system) and the parking brake stay off.
Someone saw this before?do you know what is the exact problem?

You need to get the codes read as the orange light shouldn’t be on

Australia 2007 Discovery 3 4.0 V6 Petrol SE Auto Java BlackDiscovery 3

Could be the switch or connector under the centre console as it is an electrical connection to the parking brake unit
